The Role

 

WildBrain is looking for a Director, HR Systems to join our Talent team! Reporting to the VP, Global Talent Operations, you are an HR leader who brings expertise built on a strong foundation of HR systems, payroll, and time management. If you are a keen data analyst, have an audit-focused approach and are a whiz at reporting, this role is for you! You will play a critical role in enhancing the Talent team’s operational effectiveness and influence and strengthen the foundation of human resources services offered at WildBrain.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop a deep understanding of WildBrain’s interconnected HRIS, time management, and payroll systems and practices, and collaborate with the team members who administer these processes. Become a subject matter expert and the go-to person to manage change, uncover issues and offer solutions;
  • Lead the global rollout of a new time management system; and support extension of the HRIS application and its functionality;
  • Support other HR-related systems including those in recruitment, performance management and training;
  • Respond to, and manage, internal and external audit requirements and reporting needs;
  • Champion accuracy of human resource data across the organization and provide regular reporting and dashboards on key metrics;
  • Lead process review, mapping, and adherence with a focus on accuracy and documentation;
  • Understand and support the needs of multiple business partners (management, Finance, other Talent/HR teams).

What You’ll Bring:  

  • A proven track record of broad HR experience; you are ready to share your expertise and are committed to learning, and taking on new experiences;
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business or other related area (i.e. CHRP/CHRL designation) considered an asset.
  • Extensive experience implementing and using HR systems and time management applications. UKG (UltiPro) and Workforce Dimensions experience is a major asset;
  • Strong background working with other HR-related systems including those in recruitment (Applicant Tracking Systems), and performance management (i.e. Lattice)
  • Hands on experience with Canadian and US payroll and benefits administration;
  • Demonstrated orientation towards project management and process reengineering;
  • Strong aptitude for data analysis, spreadsheet manipulation and business intelligence reporting;
  •  Excellent communication and leadership skills, having the ability to share ideas clearly and thoughtfully with leaders, and are comfortable doing so;
  • Strong business financial and accounting acumen;
  • A keen desire to streamline and improve efficacy.
  • Experience managing projects and working effectively across diverse teams
