About the Role

Reporting to the VP Southern Europe and Finance Director this role is based in our Milan office with matrix reporting lines supported by our head office in London. The Royalties & Account Manager will primarily focus on obtaining accurate and timely royalty forecasts from licensees as well as ensuring cash is collected promptly according to invoices raised and distributed to licensees.

 

 

Responsibilities  

 

Finance

  • Obtains, analyses, audits and reconciles royalty reports from licensees for all commercial licensing agreements in the region, in cooperation with the finance team at headquarters.
  • Distributes sales invoices to licensees, resolves licensee queries and performs effective credit control to collect cash.
  • Reconciliation between systems and head office files
  • Run reports for local territory review
  • Manage withholding tax processes for the region, obtaining necessary documentation from licensors and providing it to licensees to minimise WHT deductions
  • Requesting WHT certificates to licensees every year
  • Requests sales/royalty forecasts from licensees and coordinates with the sales team and the team in London to compile files for licensors
  • coordinates and prepares royalty and cost budgets
  • In collaboration with the accountant, ensures the submission of monthly reports to CPLG's head office in the UK.
  • In collaboration with the accountant, coordinates re-invoicing of costs and marketing activities
  • In cooperation with the accountant, submit WHT certificates to be sent out to suppliers every year
  • In cooperation with the accountant, coordinates tax and non-tax obligations of the company.
  • Coordinates accounting matters with the finance team at headquarters and with other departments, locations and business units.
  • Manages local accounts and pay supplier invoices.
  • Checks expense reports to be sent to the accountant
  • Credit cards monthly reconciliation
  • Handling petty cash in different currencies

Additional Duties (Office Management)

  • Ordering stationery & items for the office
  • Organising shipments
  • Organising client events
  • Reception duty
  • Coordinate local suppliers and foreign  suppliers
  • Coordinate safety advisors and related documentation
  • point of reference for banks and all suppliers
  • helping HR with personnel issues (funds to be paid, necessary obligations, etc) and personnel documentations
  • ordering and taking accounts of the lunch vouchers for the employees

 

Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in a related finance role
  • Demonstrated detail orientation with high level of accuracy in generating quantitative and qualitative analysis, and strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Effective time management skills and flexibility to work with changing priorities, ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Responsible, proactive, and diligent, with highest standards of integrity
  • Expert level Excel skills: Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, etc
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficient at building relationships with multiple levels of stakeholders, both external and internal
  • Good English and Italian in both written and verbal communication
