About the Role 

Reporting to the Director, Corporate & Trade Marketing, the Marketing Manager, Trade will manage WildBrain’s trade and content marketing programs across our licensing (WildBrain CPLG) and digital media and direct ad sales (WildBrain Spark) businesses. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is knowledgeable of the children’s entertainment industry, with specific experience in B2B marketing. As part of our global Strategic Marketing Group this role will champion the strategy and execution of all trade marketing activity for their given portfolio. The role is best suited for a critical and creative thinker who can work cross-functionally and is exceptionally organized.

 

Responsibilities  

  • Manage WildBrain’s exhibition presence at all global licensing and direct ad sales events (Brand Licensing Europe, Las Vegas Licensing Expo) as well as local and ad-hoc events or sponsorships
  • Negotiates, secures and manages exhibition spaces related to licensing/consumer products trade events with approval from various stakeholders
  • Ensures sales tools such as sell sheets, pitch decks and sizzles are updated regularly, saved and shared with team
  • Works with Director to determine the right trade advertising mix in support of business objectives; negotiates placement; briefs creative to design services team and manages approvals with relevant stakeholders
  • Oversees on-site exhibit coordination and support including delegating tasks to the Trade Marketing Coordinator as applicable
  • Co-manages 360 trade event calendar and communicates updates to stakeholders quarterly
  • Manages corporate websites (WildBrain CPLG/WildBrain Spark) and ensures sites are current and up-to-date
  • Collaborates with Direct Ad Sales team and other internal partners to support additional trade marketing needs such as leveraging proprietary research, developing premiums, creating paid media campaigns

Qualifications 

  • Demonstrable relevant experience in B2B marketing or sales
  • Proven ability to coordinate projects effectively and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate messages across all levels of the organization and create compelling sales/marketing materials
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Desire and commitment to work in a fast-paced, client-service focused environment
  • Hardworking self-starter and team player
  • Willgness to travel abroad on occasion
