About the Role 

This role will be reporting to the Sr. Manager, Content Operations and will be responsible for prepping our digital Distribution library assets for ingest into a Media Asset Management system by assessing the files against our internal specifications and implementing fixes where necessary.

 

Responsibilities  

 

  • Perform technical evaluations on distribution library masters based on a pre-existing QA checklist via Switch, CineX Tools, Telestream Vantage, and Avid Media Composer
  • Perform fixes to digital files for the purpose of content standardization
  • Collaborate with the Workflow Specialist on technical solutions during the validation process
  • Leverage our enterprise-level transcode systems for processing of files
  • Perform content QC within our Media Asset Management System
  • Assist the Ingest QC team with content processing as requested 

Qualifications 

  • Post-Secondary education in Media or a related field
  • Working knowledge of video editing software, Avid Media Composer preferred
  • Strong familiarity with basic video properties (i.e., timecodes, resolution, framerates, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of various Transcode systems and platforms (e.g., Vantage, Media Encoder)
  • Knowledge of digital audio/visual codecs an asset
  • Experience in a quality-control environment providing high attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective team player and strong collaborator with the ability to work independently
  • Possesses excellent organizational and communication skills
