About the job/role 

WildBrain CPLG is looking for a Key Partnership Manager to join our team! This role will oversee the relationship with one of our key clients: a global play and entertainment company.  You will be responsible for managing the brand expansion strategy for this brand portfolio and work closely with our global offices. You will develop and strategically grow the royalty income, lead the strategic agenda, and drive implementation effectively whilst keeping the local teams engaged, focused and on task.  The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships across our regions to contribute to growing our business and achieve long term success. 



  • Responsible for being the main contact for the brand. Serve as a primary line of communication between the brand owner and internal teams.
  • Ensure the brand owner has all the information and reporting needs, gathering from other WB CPLG departments and all territories worldwide on sales updates, marketing and retail plans.
  • Track revenue closely versus target, by market and category.
  • Lead creation of global strategic plans. Be an internal and external champion of the licensing strategy & vision and ensure the individual territories are on track.
  • Define and reach out to prospects on Promotions and work closely with our LBE department to secure global activations
  • Guide the implementation and maximise impact of Global Halo projects & collaborations, through PR, retail activation and marketing to create buzzy collaborations.
  • Advocate a ‘creative friendly’ approach to licensing and ensure appropriate internal stakeholders are involved in key decision-making.
  • Understand WB CPLG local territory needs, issues and opportunities and work in partnership.
  • Be informed of the priorities and complexities of cross-functional teams and support where needed:
    • Finance for delivering financial analysis and accurate forecasting to Licensor.
    • Legal for accurate new business pipeline management
    • Creative & PD on timely management of product approvals and creative output for inspiration and pitches.
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity to assist Licensor’s gain market-leading advantage.
  • Attend trade fairs and conferences as agreed with CPLG Management.


  • Be able to manage a multitude of diverse projects
  • Excellent organisational skills, working to deadlines and delivering on KPI’s.
  • Significant, demsontrable experience in building and owning an end-to-end sales/ marketing/ licensing function at a reputable lifestyle, sport or entertainment brand or retailer.
  • Creative approach with the ability to “think outside of the box” to deliver unique and creative opportunities.
  • Strong people management skills to work within complex structure.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to prioritise business opportunities and have a great entrepreneurial mindset. Resourceful to find solutions to any challenge.
  • The global character of this role requires flexibility to travel when needed.
