About the Job


WildBrain CPLG is looking for a Licensing Sales Manager to join ASPIRE, our Corporate & Lifestyle division! Operated as a separate team within WildBrain CPLG, ASPIRE is responsible for driving the strategic revenue growth of our growing corporate and lifestyle portfolio of brands including Absolut Vodka, Malibu Rum, Lyle & Scott, Master Lock, Revolution Beauty, Sauber Motorsports and Yale University.


Reporting to the Commercial Director, ASPIRE, you will demonstrate exceptional sales abilities to grow our lifestyle brands business by accelerating growth with our current and potential clients, in line with commercial strategies.


What You’ll Do:

  • Work with the Commercial Director and ASPIRE team to research and identify relevant new business targets in line with agreed brand strategies.
  • Negotiate, and secure suitable licensees, in accordance with agreed strategies
  • Work with Legal team to ensure Licence agreements are fully executed in a timely manner and review and resolve any licensee commercial comments
  • Work with the wider ASPIRE sales managers as appropriate to support sales activity
  • Conduct regular licensee business reviews and manage licensees on an ongoing basis
  • Identify and lead potential DTR negotiations and/or key retail initiatives
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with licensees, partners, and retailers (where appropriate).
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders at Licensors as required
  • Work closely with key licensees to ensure strong retail distribution and identify and secure cross-promotional retail activity.
  • Work with the Commercial Director to conduct business reviews for Licensors and internal CPLG management to consistently high standards
  • Collection of relevant market information, identifying market opportunities,
  • Respond to day-to-day Licensor requests for information on sales updates, marketing and retail plans.
  • Work closely with Commercial Director and CPLG Finance to deliver financial analysis and forecasting to Licensor and CPLG senior management
  • Continuously strive to identify and secure new licensees that have not worked with CPLG.
  • Provide information to assist in marketing and sales plans.
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity to assist Licensor’s gain market-leading advantage
  • React quickly and effectively to unplanned opportunities
  • Attend trade fairs and conferences as agreed with CPLG Management


What You’ll Bring:

  • Significant experience at a senior level in sales & marketing and/or brand management within licensing, CPG, FMCG, Home Improvement.
  • Extensive experience of working closely with retailers at a senior level, through marketing initiatives, with buyers and/or DTR’s.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Keen eye for detail, hands-on approach with a strategic vision.
  • An innovative and creative manager/salesperson.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and can communicate at all levels.
  • Creative approach with the ability to “think outside of the box” in order to deliver unique and creative opportunities.
  • The ability to manage a multitude of diverse projects
