About the Role

We are seeking an HRIS professional with a methodical approach to systems implementation and optimization that has a desire to be part of a collaborative IT team! The HRIS Manager will report to the Senior Product Manager and will be responsible for providing HR systems analytics and reporting support. This role will also assist with implementations, HR system integrations, and will actively participate in the success of new HRIS initiatives. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, a problem solver and will have an in-depth knowledge of HR systems for reporting purposes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the planning, implementation, documentation, and escalation/resolution of business systems issues throughout the enhancements of UKG (formerly known as UltiPro) HR Core, Payroll, and Time Management functionality
  • Assist HR, payroll, and management users with resolution of business systems issues, managing escalation to external application customer support as needed
  • Recommend business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs while continually exploring and assessing options for value-add for internal clients
  • Partner with HR, payroll, and business unit leadership to understand their queries, HR data, and reporting needs; create queries, data extracts and reports from the UKG business intelligence suite through formatting and manipulating data sets as needed in other applications (i.e., SQL, Excel, PowerPoint) and from external sources for analytic and presentation purposes
  • Act as an internal project manager for the requirements-gathering, testing and acceptance phases of projects involving HR data; facilitate meetings, document requirements and business rules and engage the participation of appropriate staff to drive project completion
  • Collaborate in the documentation of system-related procedures and business rules
  • Conduct scheduled user access audits
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to team members and collaborate informally and formally to share knowledge, resolve issues, and facilitate user training

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive HRIS experience, which includes working with HR, payroll, and time management systems
  • Hands on experience with full life cycle implementations of an ATS, HRIS or HCM system
  • Advanced expertise in reporting applications and information management tools including, but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the Cognos reporting suite. Includes experience with lookup function, macros, pivot tables, excel formulas and a basic understanding of SQL/SQR
  • Excellent understanding of human resources and payroll processes
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of building relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and peers
  • Organized and motivated with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Experience using UKG HR Core and UTM, an asset
  • Previous experience in a project management role, an asset
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and it’s functionality, an asset
