About the Role

WildBrain is looking for an Ingest QC Operator to join our Toronto team! Reporting to the Ingest/QC Supervisor, you will ensure our world-class content is successfully processed and that WildBrain library assets are well maintained. You will get to work with others who are equally passionate and like-minded professionals to enable the organization to continue their success in content management. 



  • Responsible for the reviewing and quality control of all incoming assets in our Media Asset Management System (MAM) across our three streams; Television, Distribution, and WildBrain Spark
  • Responsible for the segmentation markering of all WildBrain Spark assets in the MAM
  • Responsible for processing all incoming media QCs within a 24-hour timeframe
  • Responsible for Standards & Practices reviews upon request in order to ensure material is suitable and appropriate for WildBrain’s audiences
  • Responsible for the communication with other team members as well as other departments if content is rejected during the quality control process
  • Works with the 'Ingest/QC Supervisor’ to keep tabs on incoming assets and flag any discrepancies in expected deliveries to the team, as well as the Library department
  • Will be available for cross-training with other IQC operators for vacation coverage
  • Assists on special projects as required, which may include assisting other IQC members with overflow work and various backfill projects such as backfill processing for our Spark library



  • Experience with broadcast-level quality control
  • Knowledge of international file formats and frame rates
  • Previous experience working with a MAM an asset
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet an asset
  • Knowledge of CineX Tools an asset
  • Experience with a craft editor, preferably AVID Media Composer an asset
  • Previous experience with Telestream Vantage workflows an asset
  • Previous experience working with tight schedules, large and small projects
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proactive and independent worker
  • Highly collaborative and experienced working with cross-functional teams
