About the Role

As a part of the Peanuts Worldwide Royalty Team, you will be supporting the Director, Cash Application & Royalty Management by managing the contract entry and royalty reporting processes.  You will work closely with Legal, FP&A and Corporate Finance/Accounting peers in addition to external auditors, international agents, and licensees. 

  

Responsibilities

  • Manage deal memo and contract template setup
    • Enter required contractual data points into the rights management system
    • Coordinate with sales and legal teams to ensure accurate interpretation of contract language
  • Review and upload royalty reports including identification and resolution of any data conflicts
  • Liaise with licensees and agents to ensure timely receipt of royalty statement reporting
  • Timely creation and delivery of invoices as needed
    • System generated and/or manual
  • Prepare monthly 3rd third party participation reporting
  • Maintain monthly Agent advance reconciliation summary for Asia
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate financial and internal control policies, including the Sarbanes - Oxley Act
  • Work closely with Corporate Finance/Accounting team in Toronto
  • Ad hoc requests and analytics to support Sales and Finance team

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or closely related field 
  • Experience in Accounting and/or Royalties
  • Licensing industry experience strongly preferred, with special focus on royalty participations and contract compliance 
  • Required technical skills: Advanced MS Excel (knowledge of pivot tables required) 
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics A/X, Jaguar, or other rights management software would also be highly valuable 
  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Flexible work style: able to adjust to multiple demands and a changing and fast-paced environment
