About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Development, the Learning & Development Manager will partner across the organization to assess performance gaps, understand learning needs, and recommend learning solutions for global programs at WildBrain. The successful candidate will collaborate across the Talent team to lead the design and development of curated learning experiences and training that will drive talent development initiatives for our employees.


  • Partner with Senior Manager, Talent Development, and internal stakeholders to evaluate performance gaps and/or organizational needs to recommend, design and curate learning experiences to develop employee capabilities
  • Lead needs assessment across the organization through surveys, assessments and focus groups to determine future learning & development opportunities
  • Design and develop learning content for training programs (e.g., New Hire Onboarding, Manager Onboarding) and tools, partnering with internal subject matter experts and external vendors as necessary
  • Collaborate with external vendors to develop programs and customized learning material for Talent Development initiatives in alignment with global L&D priorities (i.e. - virtual instructor-led training, e-learning, webinars, motion graphic video scripts, blended programs etc.)
  • Support in the implementation, rollout, and management of Global L&D programs, including communications, process, and program management
  • Collect and analyze feedback from program participants with the objective to drive improvements to current Talent Development programs
  • Lead the facilitation delivery of virtual and in-person learning programs, and engage external vendors as needed to fulfill on global L&D needs
  • Stay current with L&D Industry trends and best practices to elevate learning experience – and share learning and recommendations where appropriate for implementation
  • Collaborate with the Internal Communications team on L&D program communications and leverage for media design support of L&D programs as needed


  • Hands-on learning design experience of learning solutions in various modalities (virtual instructor led training, eLearning, infographics, motion graphic videos)
  • Ability to think like a designer – you are learner-driven, and design purposefully with the learner in mind.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles/methodologies
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Excellent written communication skills with an ability to write to the medium and communicate effectively
  • Excellent relationship management skills to build effective working relationships, listen with openness and work collaboratively to achieve business results 
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a passion for continuous learning
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects with various deadlines
  • Experience using authoring tools such as Articulate or Lectora (eLearning tools) is considered an asset
