About the Role

 

WildBrain is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team! Reporting to Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Obtain approval for disbursements and ensure that expenditures are appropriately approved
  • Process vendor invoices
  • Prepare wires and bank transfers 
  • Post and reconcile company payments to General Ledger
  • Completion of new vendor setup and validation
  • Process employee expense reports (in Concur)
  • Process credit card bills
  • Vendor inquires/reconciliations
  • Reconciliations of accounts payable sub-ledgers
  • Completion of month-end invoice accruals
  • Journal entry postings as needed
  • Assist with audit/SOX requests
  • Accounts Payable electronic filing

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:  

  • Completion of post-secondary education
  • Accounting diploma or general accounting credits an asset
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solver, thriving on challenges
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a multicurrency environment
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with full cycle accounts payable experience, dealing with inter-company charges
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics preferred, but not required
  • Experience using Concur an asset (expense report tool)
  • Experience in entertainment industry preferred, but not required
