About the Role

 

WildBrain is looking for a Front-End Web Designer to join our IT team! Reporting to Web Manager, Application Solutions, you will be leading the re-design of our corporate website (wildbrain.com).

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:  

  • Use established standards and style-guides to create wireframes, reusable static graphics, and responsive, mobile-first web designs for client approval
  • Design, optimize and prepare images as dictated by deliverables (Photoshop or XD with specs)
  • Make recommendations for subtle animation as achievable through CSS
  • Ensure designs are optimized for usability across browsers and devices
  • Ensure designs can be built to comply with Web Accessibility WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards
  • Work with the team to ensure project requirements are met
  • Complete other front-end design projects as assigned

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • Degree/Diploma from a recognized Web Design/Development program (or equivalent)
  • Previous intermediate experience in website design and/or front-end development
  • Portfolio of website designs and/or links to sites
  • Comprehensive understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Comprehensive understanding of Web Accessibility WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Ability to apply responsive website design methodologies
  • Ability to stay motivated and organized while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proficiency in a Windows PC environment
