WildBrain Studios is looking for a Facilities Production Assistant to join our team!

In this role, you will be the supporting the operation of the entire studio. Working closely with many departments including IT, Production, Post-Production, Marketing and Corporate. We’re looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic team-player who is ready and willing to take on any challenge that a busy animation studio can throw at them! *Please note that this is an entry-level position and is intended to help new candidates gain experience in a professional studio environment before being considered for other roles. Candidates must be based in British Columbia, Canada.


* This role requires an unrestricted valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle (mileage is reimbursed).

What You’ll Do:


Maintaining the Facility

  • Assist the Studio Operations team with daily requests that come through the ticketing system—this could be anything from general cleaning, adjusting the ventilation system, helping someone rearrange their office, providing ergonomic solutions, hanging artwork, and moving crew workstations
  • Communicate clearly with the team when starting and finishing a task, and at any point along the way where assistance is needed
  • Always be observant and aware of any maintenance tasks that may not have been reported yet (fix leaks, tidy areas, repair furniture, reorganize, etc)

Performing General Office Tasks

  • Reception/Phone coverage as needed
  • Keep kitchens and common areas tidy—this includes daily kitchen checks to unload/load dishwashers and clean up the counters
  • Be available to help with any photocopying, scanning, filing, documents, data entry, and other general admin duties as they arise
  • Plan/schedule and assist with studio events/parties and meetings
  • Prepare, ship, and receive packages – mainly to assist with work-from-home support
  • Help to monitor building security
  • Assist with the onboarding and offboarding process

Running Errands

  • Order, pick up, and deliver lunches either back to the studio, or to off-site locations
  • Deliver correspondence between locations in the city
  • Run tapes to and from post-production houses
  • Pick up supplies from Costco, Ikea, Home Depot, and various other vendors
  • Keep a clean vehicle to drive executives and clients to restaurants, airport, and hotels

Communicating Regularly

  • Respond to tickets with a good customer service attitude
  • Work closely with the team to create balanced solutions to issues
  • Correspond regularly via e-mail, IM and text message
  • Receive tasks/instructions from multiple other departments and relay relevant information to the team
  • Anticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues with assistance from your team and other departments
  • Readily modify, respond to, and integrate change
  • Carry out duties in a professional and positive manner
  • Be a positive and creative force on the team



What You’ll Bring:

  • Reliable vehicle, unrestricted valid driver’s license is required
  • Reliable cellphone (cell stipend provided)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the Windows 10 operating system
  • Familiarity with working in an office environment
  • Enthusiasm and a good attitude towards working on a variety of different tasks
  • Ability to take direction, collaborate, and be a team player
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to build rapport and relate well to a diverse group of people
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure
  • Openness to feedback and new initiatives
  • Willing to occasionally work paid overtime after-hours or on weekends
