Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Provide support for enterprise servers, virtualisation technology, and maintenance including software updates, operating systems and general license administration.
  • Ensure all technology implementations adhere to globally-defined architecture documentation/standards and promote availability of services to users.
  • Maintain enterprise storage systems for corporate networks
  • Manage all backups, maintaining data on-site and off-site as determined by business requirements; amend plans as required; and perform regular tests of the restore process from backups
  • Develop and adhere to IT standards, and standard operating procedures and maintain currency to meet enterprise IT and corporate compliance requirements; analyse logs and take corrective actions as required
  • Partner with global teams to monitor the health of the enterprise server and network infrastructure, ensuring performance requirements for the organization is met
  • Collaborate with Application and Project teams on companywide initiatives, and research and recommend, test and integrate agreed solutions into the existing infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain system configurations for new technology and business projects
  • Endorse and adopt ITIL best practices for Incident Management, Change Management practices, and Provide T2/3 support , leveraging Service Desk systems and maintaining Service Level Agreements
  • Contribute to capacity planning and inventory management;
  • To manage Disaster Recovery and perform regular tests
  • Develop and keep up to date system configurations and documentation for new technology and business projects
  • Perform Proof of Concepts and assist in RFP process and procurement reviews as required
  • Identify problematic areas and propose/implement strategic solutions
  • Deskside and remote user support.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

  • Degree/Diploma in a technology or engineering
  • Minimum 7 years working experience managing data center hardware/services in an enterprise environment, including Active Directory, Windows Server 2008/12 & 16, EMC Storage, Back Ups, Load balancing, UPS,  (Microsoft Windows, Linux, Dell, Veeam, HP, Cisco)
  • Full understanding of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and GPO architecture
  • Good Working knowledge of Hyper-V Virtualisation technologies and practices including HA and FT experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Exchange Server 2013/2016 architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of Skype for Business architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of common network protocols, including vLan and routing
  • Advanced working experience with system and storage architecture within a Broadcast/Media organization
  • Advanced working experience of SQL databases
  • Experience with PowerShell and other common scripting languages
  • Experience with Firewall, switching Technology and concepts
  • Expertise supporting Microsoft System Centre Suite; focusing on SCCM and SCOM.
  • Experience implementing private, public and hybrid cloud computing according to best practice
  • Highly organized and motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Must have current industry recognised accreditation or Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, ITIL
  • Project Management skills.
