The Role


WildBrain is looking for a Marketing Manager, Content (14-Month Mat Leave) to join our team in Vancouver! Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, you will become an expert on the original IP in production at WildBrain Studios, getting to know the core of each show to ensure its marketing materials represent the show well to clients and to the audience. 


You provide the Production teams with the guidance and support to create excellent marketing deliverables and provide the Distribution team or key clients with insight into each show. A key part of your role will involve working with Apple TV+, Peanuts Worldwide and the Production teams on our new Peanuts content to execute asset requests for marketing activities, and ensuring those assets are on-brand and on show style.  You will also work with the Development team and a Graphic Designer to provide layout and design for pitch documents for new projects in development.  


What You’ll Do:  

  • Manage the creation of marketing deliverables for WildBrain productions through:
    • Tracking deliverable lists
    • Providing creative direction for key art; selecting poses and stills
    • Writing or editing written material like bios or loglines
    • Working with the marketing graphic designer to provide additional support, providing feedback from a marketing perspective, and ensuring they will serve Distribution and Client needs.
  • Maintain relationships with producers and their crews to stay informed about all studio productions and be able to advise other teams (Distribution, Communications, PR, etc.) on the details and status of each production.
  • Work directly with clients and production partners such as Apple, Mattel, Sega and Netflix to manage their marketing teams’ needs, goals and timelines for new assets.
  • Manage expectations and priorities when needed to find the balance between a client’s needs and internal resources/availability
  • Collaborate closely with the Peanuts Worldwide team for all new Peanuts productions, to ensure marketing assets meet the brand standards while maintaining fidelity to each production’s unique style
  • Provide creative services to the Development team by managing the design and layout for key pitch documents, including show bibles, pitch decks, logo treatments, and script title pages.
  • Working with the Development executives to understand each project and its needs, briefing the graphic designer on design and layout requirements, laying out PowerPoint decks, proofreading, managing approvals and tracking timelines for completion
  • Ensure the Studio Marketing and Distribution Marketing teams are equipped with the latest marketing assets for studio productions, keeping folders organized and up to date with the latest materials
  • Act as liaison between the Communications & PR teams on studio productions, providing them with insights into productions, connecting them with talent for media opportunities, and ensuring they are consulted on any PR activity by partners/clients


What You’ll Bring:  

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience coming from content marketing, production management, or animation asset management environments required
  • Experience or familiarity with 2D and 3D animation production processes – bonus if experienced with kids & family content
  • Excellent communicator with client-facing experience
  • Ability to act as a translator between production teams and other groups (Marketing, Distribution, Clients, etc.)
  • Ability to deliver a clear and concise creative brief to graphic designers and production
  • Skilled at interpreting feedback from multiple sources into clear actionable notes
  • Excellent writing and copyediting skills, with ability to adapt to different voices and styles
  • An eye for design and layout in marketing creative, presentations, and text documents
  • Expert-level PowerPoint skills, with an eye for consistency and layout
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize both own workload and tasks assigned to others
