The Role


WildBrain is looking for a Consumer Products Rights & Royalties System Manager  for a 1-Year contract with possiblity to extend to join our Finance team! Reporting to the Sr. Director, Revenue, Rights and Participation, you will be responsible for strategy, implementation, and support of Rights and Royalty Management software solutions for Consumer Products.


What You’ll Do:  

  • Define business requirements for the technical solutions and processes needed to effectively manage the day to day rights and royalties operations for the company’s Consumer Product divisions.
  • Represent the department as the Subject Matter Expert who possesses an in-depth knowledge of rights and royalties best practices.
  • Ensure accurate rights and royalties reporting such as SKU’s and assist in monthly close processes when required
  • Perform business analytics and manage data accuracy using custom reports and tools
  • Lead special projects related to software upgrades and new implementations
  • Analyze and document processes with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Maintain all project documentation to comply with corporate and internal control policies
  • Define implementation/transition plans for stakeholders from current to new processes
  • Write basic SQL scripts to query database and conduct data reconciliation as required
  • Lead QA and UAT testing for user-interface(s) on new products and upgrades
  • Create and maintain user roles and permissions and liaise with IT Service Desk to define ongoing support


What You’ll Bring:  

  • 3 to 5 years of licensing software industry experience with special focus on royalty participations and contract compliance
  • 2 to 3 years working on technology projects and large SaaS solution implementations
  • 2 to 3 years of Basic Finance and Accounting experience is considered a strong asset
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and motivated with strong attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Good team player able to handle conflict in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with process improvements
  • Required technical skills: MS SQL, Excel (Advanced Level), Great Plains, licensing system software experience preferred
