The Role


WildBrain is looking for a Bilingual English/Japanese Assistant (6-Month Contract) to join our Peanuts team! This role will report to the Senior Director, International Licensing.


What You’ll Do:

  • Assisting Sr. Director in daily communication and interaction with international Japanese Agent and Partners
  • Assisting internal flow process and procedures relating to Deal Sheet and Contracts for Japan. Responsibilities include: Circulation, creation of log file, and communication between Legal, Finance, and Agents/clients in both Japanese (for Japan clients) and English (internal communication).
  • Respond to Agent/client’s questions, requests, and needs in relation to product development and brand management
  • Provide general administrative support for Japan business, such as mailing, courier delivery, drafting letters and other correspondence and verbal/written translation of Japanese/English documents and press releases.
  • Interface with multiple departments to facilitate licensees/Agents’ requests and creative needs in Japanese and English
  • Preparation of sales and summary presentations of various Peanuts events, tradeshows, and retail promotions in Japanese and English
  • Support product approval process for Japan utilizing a digital process system


What You’ll Bring:

  • 3-4 years’ work experience preferred, either in Licensing, Marketing or Brand Management
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in English and Japanese
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office
  • Must have strong follow-up and organizational/time management skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Post-secondary graduate, preferred
