FX Supervisor, 2D

WildBrain is looking for a 2D Harmony FX Supervisor on a new project!

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing workflows, managing the FX team, and training artists. In addition, you will collaborate with other Supervisors and Directors on the project to ensure that elements are passed across departments with efficiency, while meeting the creative and scheduling requirements of the production.

This role is set to start in May 2021.

We are currently working virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time our hiring teams are ready to support interviews via video conferencing, and we are enabling artists to work from home until the studio can reopen. We’d love to hear from you! #stayhomestaysafe!

• Liaising with Directors, Supervisors and IT to design and produce the requested style of effects
• Coordinating and communicating with various departments for required assets and input
• Reviewing workload and communicating any issues to Director and Producer
• Organizing and managing own work and files efficiently and ensuring all FX work is completed on schedule
• Consulting with series directors and suggesting creative solutions that will maintain the vision of the series
• Reviewing and approving the final FX scenes while keeping show continuity in mind
• Training, mentoring, and motivating a team of FX Artists
• Anticipating, communicating, and troubleshooting any creative or technical issues
• Providing constructive feedback and guidance to the team

• Previous experience as a FX Supervisor or Lead for a 2D animated series
• 3 or more years’ experience as a FX Artist on an animated series
• You have experience in Harmony FX (preferred)
• You have strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills
• You have the ability to communicate and provide feedback in a professional and positive manner
• You are driven, determined, and have creative problem solving skills
• You have effective and professional communication skills
