Director, Talent Management

WildBrain is growing! We are looking for a Director, Talent Management to join our Talent team! We are seeking a key partner to help grow the Artist and Talent experience. In a newly created role, you will work on building the discipline of Talent Management within the broader Talent teams and Studio leadership. Reporting to the VP, Talent you will thrive in a fast-paced environment that will utilize your skills and experience to the fullest.

We are currently working virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time our hiring teams are ready to support interviews via video conferencing, and we are enabling artists to work from home until the studio can reopen. We’d love to hear from you! #stayhomestaysafe!

• Create a strategic Talent Plan that balances the Artist experience and business drivers to retain and grow employees
• Plan and build a center of excellence for the Talent Management function from the ground up
• Design and run a Talent focused thread through the entire employee life cycle experience from Outreach to Alumni programs with a focus on Artists
• Design and deliver Management and Leadership initiatives to support leaders at WildBrain
• Oversee and be ultimately responsible for the development and implementation of programs such as Performance Management, Succession Planning, Career Planning and On/Offboarding
• Manage the People Business Partner function when it comes to employee relations, legal and compensation functions
• Oversee programs and policies related to supporting employee mental health and wellness
• Build tools and systems that support Artist Management and Talent Management
• Develop a metrics and data-based approach to monitoring the business success of these programs
• Bring a coach approach to all areas of Talent Development
• Model an EQ approach to solutions balancing traditional IQ approaches
• Manage and grow a team of up to 6 individuals focused HR, Systems and Talent Management
• Support the Manager of Diversity and inclusion in all activities that drive WildBrain’s journey to be a more inclusive company

• Experience in a fast-paced environment, working directly with all levels of Management and ideally experience working in a media or similar organization
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in Talent Management or equivalent knowledge in Talent Development and HR Business Partnership
• Ability to manage a small but key senior team
• Demonstrated skills in designing Talent Management solutions
• High level coaching and consultative skills
• Ability to exercise judgment with sensitive/ confidential issues
• Ability to work autonomously
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change
