Responsibilities

WildBrain is looking for a Manager, Brand Business Analysis to join our Brands team!  Reporting to the Chief Brands Officer, you will work closely with the brand management team acting as the liaison with our finance group.

 

What You'll Do:

 

360 brand analysis

  • Work with business units across the company and model various inputs (financial, schedule and KPIs) to the overall brand plan
  • Track the performance of business unit contribution to the overall brand operating model
  • Review financial information from corporate finance and perform necessary analyses to help the brand team understand target performance statuses
  • Review research and data provided by various sources and provide insight to support brand and content capital investment
  • Use various research tools available and generate custom reports and analyses for brand leaders

Research & Insights

  • Review inbound research reports, macro industry analyses and media data and provide synopsis for the senior management team
  • Receive research requests and prepare requisitions
  • Review research and data services – compare/analysis and make recommendation re: cost vs. value to the businesses
  • Use various research tools available and generate custom reports and analyses for various business unit leaders

M&A Support

  • Leverage tools like Statista, Tubular and Tableau to assess current status of the brand and market size/opportunity
  • Review data rooms, organize the information and prepare excerpts of relevant data and analysis
  • Gather internal information from finance, accounting, legal, marketing etc to build a due diligence folder
  • Prepare summary memos/deck on different aspects of the business: audience engagement, social media penetration, operations (costs and efficiency), marketing
  • Work with all the business units to assess potential benefits/contribution
  • Review sales development pipelines: revenue on current contract, expiry dates and projections (if applicable)
  • Trademark and IP protection analysis (if applicable - working with our legal team)
  • Work with corporate finance to summarize tax and accounting implication should the transaction is to move forward
  • DCF/ P&L modeling: create models suitable to the said businesses based on WildBrain M&A ROI parameters, preparation of assumption pages and presentation formats

Qualifications

What You Will Bring:

  • Fluency in media and consumer product space (direct or indirect experience an asset)
  • Advance research and analytical skills 
  • Intermediate understanding of big data analysis, business models in various media platforms
  • Understanding of marketing problems (social media, advertising etc.)
  • Solid modeling skills including data analysis and intermediate level of financial modeling
  • Strong skills in creative power point presentations
