WildBrain is looking for a Senior Manager, Financial Analysis and Planning to join our Finance team! Reporting to  Sr. Director, Finance & Internal Controls, you will be a business partner to the Content Business Unit management and sales team helping navigate change and develop new business models that will help drive profitability and growth.


What you'll do:

  • Partner with managers and business unit leaders to develop and lead budget process
  • Track performance against budget, monthly and quarterly targets and forecasts
  • Review and analyse monthly and quarterly financial results with all key management groups and provide topline projections
  • Liaise between business managers and Finance to ensure effective partnerships and relationships are built that enhance communication and collaboration efforts
  • Collaborate with management to forecast revenues, operating costs, capital expenditure requirements, report on operating metric and various key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Perform revenue recognition analytics to validate revenue, reported and projected
  • Manage and report on distribution pipeline, validating assumptions and probabilities assessed by the Sales team
  • Maintain and update the product lifetime revenue forecasts for the Distribution Library
  • Build operating and business models as required to support strategic decision making
  • Manage sales compensation plans and reporting
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in system implementations and other process improvement initiatives including but not limited to CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Avendio), Right Managements systems
  • Support key contract negotiations with distribution affiliates and long-term suppliers
  • Analyze new business opportunities and help formulate strategies to see them through to implementation
  • Supporting project management and the implementation of new business opportunities
  • Supporting in M&A activity and other special projects as required



What you'll bring:

  • Experience working in a media and or studio production distribution environment in a business analysis capacity preferred
  • An MBA or CPA designation preferred
  • 5 or more years' experience in business analysis, planning and financial modelling
  • Be the expert in global financing incentives and production financing structures: CMF, Telefilm, international coproduction treaties, all provincial and federal incentives, private/public funds and related application requirements
  • Experience developing business cases and presenting findings to an executive steering committee
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with leaders at all levels in a cross functional capacity
  • Advanced in the use of Excel (If statements, pivot tables, macros, Vlookups)
  • Experience with CRM, SQL base database reporting, Business Intellegence tools are an asset
  • PowerPoint and familiarty with mid-range financial accounting system is required
