Responsibilities

Finance is looking for an accounting clerk to join their team. 

 

Here's what you'll do:

  • Accounts Receivable:
  • Perform biweekly/monthly interfaces from contract management systems (Jaguar/FAMS) to Dynamics general ledger and reconcile data in the systems
  • Process monthly closing revenue, receivable and other reconciliations; investigate and rectify any discrepancies with appropriate follow up action
  • Prepare complete, accurate and timely monthly receivables aging and cash forecast reporting
  • Pursue collection of receivables, escalating as needed
  • Assemble receivables provision quarterly working papers
  • Prepare monthly prepaid reconciliations
  • Prepare multi-currency bank reconciliations and process banking settlements
  • Other general ledger reconciliations as assigned
  • Support internal and external auditor requests
  • Periodic generation, output and distribution of various data summaries
  • Assist in resolution of any data conflicts identified
  • Perform data maintenance and respond to ad hoc requests

 

 

 



Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring:

  • 2-5 years of related or similar work experience
  • Post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • Experience with general accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (including Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands and a changing and fast-paced environment
