Animators (Harmony), 2D

WildBrain is looking for Animators to join our Vancouver studio for new Peanuts Specials!! This is a slate of brand-new specials that will find the Peanuts gang marking Mother’s Day, Earth Day, New Year’s Eve and Back to School. These specials will honour the much loved past Peanuts Specials but will be pushing the creative boundaries of what 2D Harmony animation can do!

These roles are set to begin immediately & are available to remote and freelance candidates and can be international!

We are currently working virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time our hiring teams are ready to support interviews via video conferencing, and we are enabling artists to work from home until the studio can reopen. We’d love to hear from you! #stayhomestaysafe!

• Report to the Animation Supervisors and Animation Director to create high quality 2D Harmony animation
• Collaborate with other animators and supervisors to identify and solve problems, both technically and artistically
• Deliver shots on time to a high quality that achieve the desired look and standards of the project

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, collaborative environment
• Effective and professional communication skills 
• Demonstration of animation basics, acting, staging, posing, weight, timing and storytelling as well as staying on model
• Experience with Toon Boom Harmony and be flexible and willing to work as part of a team

Bonus:

• 2+ years animation experience
• Will consider candidates who possess a strong animation background; we are willing to train Harmony animation
