Overview

We are looking for a social media guru to take our Vancouver animation studio’s social media presence to the next level!  Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, Studios you’ll be part of a lean, fun & feisty marketing team as we aim to make WildBrain Studios a household name among the best artists in the animation industry worldwide.  The ideal candidate is based in Vancouver and has an eye for visual content, a knack for creative copy, a strategic and organized approach, and total mastery of all major social media platforms, including in-depth experience running paid media campaigns.  

 

This role is set to begin immediately. 

 

We are currently working virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time our hiring teams are ready to support interviews via video conferencing, and we are enabling artists to work from home until the studio can reopen. We’d love to hear from you! #stayhomestaysafe!

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the WildBrain Studios social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Maintain a Content Calendar with visibility to management & key stakeholders
  • Ensure all social media content meets the brand guidelines in terms of voice, visual style, and subject matter
  • Contribute to and help shape strategy by setting measurable objectives and goals, using data to develop insights and action plans
  • Work closely with various stakeholders to generate content and to meet the needs of different groups within the Studio
  • Work closely with Talent & Recruiting to support recruitment needs
  • Seek out opportunities to capture Studio-related content, including behind-the-scenes material, profiles on artists, capturing team events, etc.
  • Work with team members such as graphic designers or editors to create custom visuals or videos for social media
  • Work closely with Sr Marketing Manager to support and cross-promote production announcements, such as show launches, greenlights, and other activities
  • Work with Sr Marketing Manager to source shareable production material & ensure compliance with client agreements prior to sharing
  • Be an active participant in studio activities, events and clubs in order to make connections, learn and capture the studio culture, and gather content
  • Consult with relevant teams to craft & relay timely responses to comments and messages
  • Follow & engage with artists on social media platforms
  • Generate monthly/quarterly analytic reports
  • Run paid campaigns as needed
  • As needed, advise and assist on IP-specific social media pages

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in social media management, with expert knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and other major platforms
  • Proven track record of growing & engaging social media audiences
  • Able to manage the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
  • Extremely organized and able to maintain a content calendar, proactively planning posts and generating content in advance
  • Able to write in a defined voice and adhere to brand guidelines
  • Sharp eye for detail in both copy and visuals
  • Able to track and interpret meaningful analytics
  • A passion for art, animation, or the film & entertainment industry
  • Design or video editing capabilities a plus, e.g. with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience in the animation, VFX or gaming industry a plus
  • Knowledge of animation pipelines a plus
  • Include a portfolio if you have one, or outline some of the content, campaigns, pages or programs you are most proud of
