As a Recruiter, you will support the successful selection and hiring of the best talent with an emphasis on 2D Artists for immediate roles while building a long-term talent pipeline for future teams.

  • 360 recruitment of top-tier talent for our Studio with an emphasis on 2D Artists; concept, storyboards, background; designers, clean up, colour and layout artists, animators, FX, lighting/comp, etc. 
  • Partner with Artist Management team, Human Resources and Production to develop ongoing improvement of recruitment strategies and action plans 
  • Coordinate and follow up online testing of candidates to validate skills with Recruiting Coordinator 
  • Coordinate with Human Resources/Recruiting Coordinate candidate details including work permits, resume, references etc. 
  • Build and leverage industry relationships to build talent pipelines and referral networks. 
  • Source and cultivate long term relationships with key industry creatives 
  • Create, update and maintain all candidate activities/notes in applicant tracking system 
  • Regularly communicate with hiring managers and all stakeholders on the search and candidate status updates. 
  • Advise and recommend interview techniques, candidate selection, compensation and market trends 
  • Represent WildBrain Studios at educational events, career fairs, grad shows, and other various recruiting events 
  • Team up with Recruiting Management/Artist Management/Marketing team for ongoing community and social media engagement 


  • 1+ years of experience in recruitment emphasis in 2D Animation, 3D Animation, TV VFX/Series or closely related industry. 
  • Proven track record to evaluate candidate art work, technical qualifications 
  • Knowledge of traditional animation, CG Animation and/or Visual Effect production 
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills 
  • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to develop/foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ability to re-define and execute on new processes and workflows in a fast-changing environment. 
  • Excellent time management with ability to work independently 


  • Artistic background with an understanding of balance, colour, animation etc. 
  • 2D Animation recruitment experience. (Flash/Photoshop/Harmony) 
  • Out of the box thinking for networking/outreach via networks, meet ups etc.
