Reporting to the Director, Business Analysis, the Financial Analyst will work with the Peanuts Worldwide Finance team in management of worldwide revenue and overall support for all financial projects; i.e. budgets/forecasts, monthly/quarterly reporting, financial analysis, day-to-day financial operations and special projects.  



  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets by licensee by territory and recurring forecast updates by reaching out to licensing team and directly to licensees and/or international agents to get royalty and new business projections and contract renewal information.
  • Use analytical skills to evaluate appropriateness of royalty projections provided based on licensee’s historical performance and eventually garnered experience with various accounts.
  • Roll up revenue by key licensee and by territory to provide analytics for management review.

  Financial Analysis

  • Generate monthly and quarterly financial and ledger reports, identify and research variances of actual vs. budget for management review.
  • Analyze customer accounts and collect open A/R balances.

Monthly/Quarterly Reporting

  • Assist in monthly close process by updating royalty projections and preparing/reviewing revenue related journal entries.
  • Generate and distribute financial reports.


  • Partner with WildBrain Finance team to help ensure accurate contract data entry by reviewing and approving all relevant contracts, royalty reporting, revenue recognition and timely collection efforts.
  • Support licensing sales and brand executives in providing any financial analysis or reporting needed to help pitch new business or evaluate the value of existing partnerships.
  • Assist in managing invoices, expense processing, financial projects, analysis, compilation and creation of reports as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience. Big 4 experience preferred
  • Experience in rights management, royalties or licensing an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel knowledge (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
  • Familiarity working with Great Plains and/or Jaguar a plus
  • Well organized, detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and requests
  • Team player who is flexible and also has the ability to take a pro-active and independent approach to their job
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
