WildBrain Studios is looking for a Production Assistant to join our brand new Los Angeles-based team!

The Role

You will get to:

    • Assist the Production Coordinator and Production Manager in making sure the Production is running smoothly and the team is on track, meeting deadlines and hitting milestones
    • Take part in shaping a growing team and learn about the process of producing high quality animation!
    • Phone coverage
    • Assist with shipping/receiving
    • Be available to help with any photocopying, scanning, printing, filing, and other general admin duties as they arise
    • Plan/schedule and assist with studio events/parties and meetings
    • Work closely with the team to come up with creative, balanced solutions to issues
    • Anticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues with assistance from the Production Coordinator & Production Manager
    • Recommend any team training needs to the Production Manager
    • Readily modify, respond to, and integrate change as instructed 
    • Carry out duties in a professional and positive manner
    • Assist the team with daily issues and requests -- this could be anything from general cleaning, helping someone rearrange their office, hanging artwork, moving crew workstations, etc.
    • Communicate clearly with the Production Coordinator & Production Manager when starting and finishing a task, and at any point along the way where assistance is needed
    • Always be observant and aware of any maintenance tasks that may not have been reported yet (fix leaks, tidy areas, repair furniture, etc)
    • Order, pick up, and deliver lunches either back to the studio, or to off-site locations nearby
    • Deliver correspondence between locations in the city 
    • Pick up supplies from Costco, Ikea, Home Depot, and other various vendors 



What you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in a production assistant, office or facilities-related role (does not have to be animation)
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and clean driving record (REQUIRED)
  • Reliable cell phone 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm, and an eagerness to take on any task!
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proactivity, organization, and strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to build rapport and relate well to all kinds of people
  • Ability to take direction, collaborate, and be a team player
  • Openness to feedback and new initiatives
  • Desire to learn and support the team
  • Love of cartoons!
