    WildBrain Studios is looking for an experienced Production Coordinator to join our brand new Los Angeles-based team!

    The Role

    We are looking for an adaptable team player who is incredibly organized, highly communicative, self-motivated and enthusiastic about joining a talented group of industry professionals working to create some of the best quality kids’ animation in the business!

    Responsibilities

    You will get to:

    • Collaborate with the Production Manager to create detailed plans and breakdowns of tasks for the Production team, ensuring important deadlines are met and the team is fully supported
    • Track the Production’s progress against the schedule to help ensure the success of the team
    • Maintain close contact with team of storyboard artists and help process panels for the Editorial team 
    • Update daily reports to reflect progress and/or flag concerns
    • Take detailed notes during meetings, pitches, or when needed, making sure to highlight action items or follow up items for the team
    • Effectively communicate priorities, issues, and pertinent production info to the crew
    • Track crew absences/sick days and inform Production Manager & HR
    • Assist the crew in troubleshooting technical issues and liaising with IT to communicate problems
    • Take part in shaping a growing team and learn in depth about the process of producing high quality animation!

    Qualifications

    • You’re a critical thinker who displays strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and multitask
    • You anticipate the needs of the Production team and have a proactive approach to problem-solving 
    • Ability to learn fast and excel in a high pressure, deadline-oriented environment
    • You have a positive attitude and are able to motivate a talented and diverse crew
    • You love cartoons as much as we do!

    Specific skills & experience we’d love to see:

    • Previous experience coordinating in production. Animation experience is desired but not mandatory
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel such as basic formulas, formatting spreadsheets into presentable formats, exporting data from Excel to other formats, linking workbooks, sorting data for analysis, copying and pasting data sets between workbooks, and a strong ability to create and interpret reports
    • Knowledge of Storyboard Pro is a definite plus
    • Animation Software experience, particularly in Flash or Harmony, is an asset
    • Shotgun experience is a bonus
