WildBrain Studios is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our brand new Los Angeles based team!

The role:

 

 

As a Production Manager on this series, you will assist the Producer in overseeing the production process, creating the departmental schedule, and managing members of the production crew to keep everyone on track. We are looking for someone who is incredibly organized and calm under pressure, passionate about the details, highly communicative and excited about joining a talented team of industry professionals working to create some of the best quality kids’ animation in the business!

Responsibilities

You will get to:

  • Collaborate with the Producer to create detailed plans and breakdowns of tasks for the Production team, ensuring important deadlines are met and the team is fully supported
  • Oversee the Production’s progress, review reports, and flag any issues to the Producer
  • Review all scriptm, storyboard, and animatic notes, ensuring that the team is balancing priorities and responding in a timely manner
  • Maintain the Directors’ schedules
  • Liaise with clients and partners, any out-of-house freelancers, and other departments located outside of Los Angeles
  • Monitor crew attendance and manage vacation requests
  • Coordinate with HR on staffing needs
  • Communicate with IT and Studio Operations regarding required work stations and software for the production crew
  • Work on other projects and tasks as required
  • Take part in shaping a growing team and producing high quality animation!

Qualifications

You will be a great fit on our team if…

  • You have 1 or more years’ experience as a Production Manager on an animated feature or television series with a strong knowledge of the 2D animation pipeline
  • You have 4 or more years’ experience coordinating production for animated features or series
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field 
  • You possess a strong ability to think critically and anticipate the team’s needs
  • You demonstrate effective and professional communication skills
  • Highly are highly organized and detail oriented
  • You have a great attitude and enthusiastically take on tasks and look to improve
  • You love cartoons as much as we do!

Specific skills we’d love to see… 

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge in Shotgun is a definite asset
  • Experience with Animation Software such as Adobe Flash/Animate, Autodesk Maya, or ToonBoom Harmony is a strong asset
