    Responsibilities

    • Perform technical evaluations on distribution library masters based on a pre-existing QA checklist via Switch and/or Avid Media Composer
    • Report your findings to key stakeholders in Content Operations
    • Collaborate with the Workflow Specialist on technical solutions during the validation process
    • Operate our enterprise-level transcode systems for processing of files
    • Miscellaneous projects pertaining to the department’s needs as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Post-Secondary education in Media or a related field
    • Working knowledge of video editing software, Avid Media Composer preferred
    • Strong familiarity with basic video properties (i.e., timecodes, resolution, etc.)
    • Working knowledge of various Transcode systems and platforms (e.g., Vantage, Media Encoder)
    • Knowledge of digital audio/visual codecs beneficial
    • Experience in a quality-control environment providing high attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Effective team player and strong collaborator
    • Possesses excellent organizational and communication skills
