    WildBrain Studios is looking for experienced Harmony Builds Artists to join our team! You may have known us as DHX Media – we’ve recently changed our name to reflect our renewed commitment to pushing the creative and focusing on the artist experience. At WildBrain we create epic entertainment experiences for kids and family through industry leading animation. Join us and see what other great things are happening at WildBrain!


    The role:


    Are you the kind of person who loves both the creative and technical side of 2D Animation? Are you a problem solver who is all about attention to detail? We’re looking for Builds Artists to add the first element of life to the cartoony characters and props in one of our awesome 2D animated series! Start dates for these roles range from February to April. 


    You will get to work on... 

    • Creating and revising the requested style of Character and Prop Builds with the guidance of the Builds Supervisor
    • Keeping characters and props in proportion and on model
    • Innovating solutions and troubleshooting to create efficient builds
    • Efficiently organizing and managing your files
    • Collaborating with other Builders and departments in a team environment


    You will be a great fit on our team if… 

    • You are technically inclined and solution-oriented with strong problem solving skills
    • You take direction well, are adaptable and work collaboratively within a team
    • You are accountable and manage your time effectively to meet assigned deadlines and expectations
    • You have a keen eye for detail and follow established naming, layering and network conventions
    • You communicate in a professional and positive manner 

    Specific skills we’d love to see… 

    • Previous experience as a Builds Artist on a 2D series or feature is required
    • Proficiency in Toon Boom Harmony
    • Strong, expressive drawing skills and understanding of animation principles
    • Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation school
