    About The Role


    The Director of Network and Security will work collaboratively within Global Technology Services (GTS) to define and ensure adherence to all network and security policies globally. S/he will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security and performance of the WildBrain networks and for guiding further adoption of cloud services as we embark upon a Digital Transformation Plan. Continuous improvement of IT service delivery as well as establishing new process and technology developments to support an evolving infrastructure are critical aspects of this position.

    Here's What You'll Get to Do

    • Drive cross-functional initiatives that identify risks and issues and collaborate on plans to solve them
    • Act as primary contact for internal and external auditors while ensuring global adherence to ITGCs and updating policies accordingly
    • Oversee Disaster Recovery plans for GTS and align with the WildBrain Studios Technology team to ensure global coverage
    • Develop KPIs and other metrics to report to executive management on service operation and improvement efforts
    • Establish standard operating procedures and business process maps
    • Collaborate with GTS leaders to define strategic process planning in support of the company’s global technology needs
    • Develop workshop and seminar series to communicate technology policies and other developments to the global organization
    • Facilitate technical discussions with a non-technical audience and effectively translate the business needs
    • Encourage leadership development and mentoring throughout the department as well as supporting a training plan for staff

    You’re well suited to this role if you bring an innovative approach and exceptional judgement combined with a strong business acumen. In addition to your superior technical capabilities, you are a proven leader who thrives in dynamic global environments. You also bring:

    • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a supervisory or management position within a technology capacity
    • Degree/Diploma in a technology or engineering-related field or equivalent experience
    • Strong Project Management experience within the broadcast or digital media space along with PMI or PRINCE2 certification an asset
    • Knowledge of ITIL and COBIT concepts and practices
    • Solid understanding of networking architectures and principles for private and public cloud computing along with best practices
    • Experience with budgeting, procurement and financial reporting
    • Highly organized and motivated with strong attention to detail
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification
    • CISSP, CISA or SANS certification an asset
    • A valid passport and flexibility to travel occasionally to our global offices
